NOBODY EVER SPOKE LIKE JESUS

WHY DID YOU NOT BRING HIM? JOHN 7:45-52

When the guards went back, the chief priests and Pharisees asked them, “Why did you not bring him?” The guards answered, “Nobody has ever talked like this man does!”

“Did he fool you, too?”  The Pharisees asked them. Have you ever known one of the authorities or one Pharisees to believe in him? This crowd does not know the Law of Moses, so they are under God’s Curse!”

One of the Pharisees there was Nicodemus, the man who had gone to see Jesus before.  He said to the others, “According to our Law we cannot condemn anyone before hearing him and finding out what he has done.”

‘Well they answered, “Are you also from Galilee? Study the Scriptures and you will learn that no prophet ever comes from Galilee.”

Truth can never be hidden. We may try to suppress truth, the world and people bears testimony to it.  My Character, my deeds, my actions are book for the world to read.  What will people say about me?  Please guard your hearts and your thoughts, do not give room for evil (it is like a bad seed), it does not produce good fruits.  Evil deeds and desires are very destructive. It is like a thief waiting to steal and destroy.  Father in heaven create in me a pure heart. H.G.

THE CONTROVERSY

THE DIVISION AND CONTROVERSY ABOUT CHRIST DIVINITY JOHN 7:40-44

Some o the people in the crowd heard him say this and said,

 “This man is really the Prophet.”

Others said, “He is the Messiah!”

But others said, “The Messiah will not come from Galilee!

The scripture says that the Messiah will be a descendant of King David and will be born in Bethlehem, the town where David lived.” So there was a division in the crowd because of Jesus. Some wanted to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him.

Why do we often go into someone personal history, and background?  Do we do so with pure motives? Most times we do so to find faults because we are jealous, we are insecure, we do not have the quality of that individual so we look for his/her defect.  We are blind in seeing the good qualities that are more than the faults we are trying to find. There may be none, yet we try to create one.  I must search my mind, my heart. Father in heaven, I ask that I be spared from this sin. Help me see the goodness in all your creatures. Help me appreciate these qualities, and give glory to your holy name.
